PSA REPORTS NCR’s ECONOMY
ACCELERATED TO 6.6% IN 2015

In the 2015 Report on the Regional Economy of the National Capital Region (NCR) News Conference conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Quezon City on 28 July 2016, it was reported that NCR’s economy as measured by its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) accelerated from 5.9% in 2014 to 6.6% in 2015.
Services remained the largest contributor to NCR’s economy at 81.1% of total domestic production. While Industry and Agriculture, Hunting, Forestry and Fishing (AHFF) delivered 18.7% and 0.2% of the region’s total output, respectively.

The event was attended by various stakeholders in the private and public sectors, as well as, the media, such as: DTI, MGB-DENR, PNP, DOST, NEDA, TESDA, BSP, DBM, DOF, CHED, U.P., MERALCO, Manila Bulletin, BusinessWorld, Philippine Star, TV 5 and DZRH, among others.
